GEOBOX is a geospatial analytics company working where water, land and climate meet — mostly in Central Asia, where those problems arrive first and hardest.
Why we start in the field
Anyone can pull a satellite scene and run an index over it. The result looks convincing on a screen and falls apart the moment somebody drives out to the parcel. The gap between a plausible map and a defensible number is field data, and there is no shortcut across it.
Over a decade of ground campaigns we have built a labelled dataset of more than a million field observations across Central Asia: crop types confirmed on the ground, irrigation status recorded parcel by parcel, pest presence and severity logged season after season. Every model we ship is trained and scored against it.
What a project looks like
We start from a decision, not a dataset. What are you about to fund, allocate, insure, or approve? That determines the resolution you need, the season you need it by, and how much accuracy is worth paying for.
From there it is a fixed scope: the analysis, the data layer that produced it, and an interface your own staff can operate. We would rather hand over one tool a water manager uses every week than a platform seat nobody logs into after month two.
What we do not do
We do not sell a dashboard subscription and call it a solution. We do not fine-tune a general model and present it as domain expertise. And we do not hand over a result we cannot trace back to a field record.
If satellite data cannot answer your question at the accuracy your decision needs, we would rather tell you in the first conversation than in the final report.
